Fire Truck Visits Library

The Oconto Falls Fire Department visited the library for National Fire Prevention Week. Stories and songs were provided by John and Amy Dessart. Along with treats was the drawing for prizes from the fire department. First prize is a ride in the fire truck during the next parade! Four winners were selected. Then we all went outside to check out the firetruck.

Dealing With Change

On Friday September 25th, four members of the Oconto Falls Public Library staff went to the NFLS sponsored wokshop “Dealing With Change”. The speakers are the nationally known team of Joan Frye-Williams and George Needham. We all must deal with change wether we want to or not. How you and your staff deal with it is the question. As libraries we must recognize that the world is changing around us. We either change with it or become replaced. The workshop dealt with writing an Action Plan, the desired outcome and who will assist. I feel that this workshop was very benifical to our library and expect change in the future.
