Kids’ Crafternoon: Perler Beads
Crafternoons for older kids are back! Join us for different projects on Wednesday afternoons throughout the summer.
This week (August 13th) is perler beads (our last Crafternoon of the summer)! Choose a tray, lay out the beads in the pattern or shape of your choosing, then get an adult or librarian’s help to iron your design together! Make your little critter or design into a keychain or a magnet to stick up on the fridge or in your locker. We have a bunch of designs you can customize, and lots of those colorful little beads (some even glow in the dark)! Stop in any time between noon and 5:00 to begin (we’re open until 6:00, but you’ll want time to finish your masterpiece!).
As noted, this is an activity for grade school children and teens rather than preschoolers (age 7 and up). Some crafternoons involve elements that are hot, sharp, or extra messy. A helpful adult or an older teen will still need to attend to lend a hand and monitor behavior.
